How CartFix Guides Are Written

Source standards, diagnostic approach, and how we handle parts recommendations.

Diagnostic Approach

Every guide follows a layered diagnostic sequence: eliminate the cheapest and most common failure first, then work toward the expensive and rare. We don't start with "replace the controller" when the solenoid is a $30 part that fails 10x more often.

Parts Sourcing

Parts recommendations include Amazon links (affiliate). Prices listed are typical DIY market ranges as of 2026 — they vary by supplier and may have changed. We list the part category and search term rather than a specific SKU because availability changes frequently in this market.

Safety

Golf cart battery systems (36V–48V) can deliver dangerous current under short-circuit conditions. We include safety warnings on all battery and main wiring procedures. Always disconnect the main pack or use an Anderson plug to isolate power before working on the electrical system. High-voltage AC motor systems (Drive2) should be serviced by qualified technicians if you're not comfortable with AC electrical systems.
